It Takes A Village Action Organization, Inc. is dedicated to transforming the overall well-being of the Buffalo community. We believe that the key to sustainable success lies in connecting, engaging, and developing effective relationship strategies for health, literacy, training, and employment.
Our mission is to empower individuals and families with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to thrive and build a brighter future for themselves and their community. Join us in our efforts to create a stronger, healthier, and more prosperous Buffalo.
OUR COMMUNITY, WE SERVE
We serve individuals who have health disparities, are unemployed or underemployed, need vocational skills, or are re-entering the community from the criminal justice system. Chronic unemployment can lead to isolation, more intense poverty, and a diminishing self-worth to any adult, hindering efforts to restore their humanity, as well as health disperses. We have to break this cycle. The longer individuals stay unemployed, the more difficulty they will experience in attempting to escape the unemployment rut.
